At Browells Wood Pet Therapy , our passion for pets started when Debbies late mum, Hilary Browell, would rescue random animals then try to convince her parents they where their new pets. Many years later, with the support of her husband (and too many animals to count) she brought her life long dream of owning her own farm she could fill with beautiful well spoilt animals and opened Browells Wood!
What started as a one-woman operation has now grown into a full-service pet therapy company. We have a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing an exceptional experience within our growing community of Care Homes, Schools, Private parties and community events.
We are always looking for ways to improve and expand our services. Our goal is to become the go-to pet therapy provider in our area and beyond.

Spending time with animals has been scientifically proven to lower blood pressure. This is because when you spend time with animals stroking them in a calmed controlled environment you are releasing an oxytocin chemical (a feel good chemical) that lowers blood pressure and has been proven to reduce anxiety and depression.
Pet therapy when used as a physical activity can help balance and reduce the likelihood of falling over.
It can improve cases of sundowning in people with dementia.
It can increase food intake.
Dogs and other pets can often have a better connection with people living with dementia than other humans. Therefore, pet therapy can reduce the feeling of isolation.
